A new instrument (the scrotoscope) is described. It was used in the diagnosis of questionable masses in the testis, epididymis and spermatic cord in 49 patients. Scrotal examination and testicular biopsy were performed in 31 infertile patients by means of the scrotoscope, together with pampiniform plexus venography in 1 patient and vasography in 2. Scrotoscopy allows the surgeon to view, study and treat intrascrotal lesions.
