Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To study the effect of low energy nitrogen ion implantation on seed germination and agronomic characters.

METHODS

Different doses of low energy nitrogen ion implantation were implanted into fresh Cassia seed embryos. Seed germination, seedling growth and field agronomic characters were observed.

RESULTS

The seeds after ion implantation showed significant reduction in germination energy, germination percentage and germination index, besides the significant decreasement in root length, fresh weight and vigor index of seedling. Plant height decreased despite the increase in grain size and grain weight.

CONCLUSION

The low energy nitrogen ion implantation have significant effect on Cassia seeds, and being of great significance on Cassia artificial cultivation.

摘要

目的

研究低能氮离子注入对决明种子萌发及农艺性状的影响。

方法

将不同剂量的低能氮离子注入新鲜的决明种子胚中。观察种子萌发、幼苗生长及田间农艺性状。

结果

离子注入后的种子发芽势、发芽率和发芽指数显著降低,幼苗的根长、鲜重和活力指数也显著下降。株高降低,而粒大小和粒重增加。

结论

低能氮离子注入对决明种子有显著影响,对决明人工栽培具有重要意义。
