The authors demonstrate on 31 eyes their experience with transcutaneous resection of levator palpebrae muscles in surgical correction of congenital ptosis. They describe the technique of the operation and analyze its advantages. The greatest advantage of the operation is the possibility to adjust the extent of resection of the muscle.
