[Choices of treatment in pulmonary echinococcosis].

Analysis of accumulated experience provides evidence that the approach to determining the principles of treatment must be differentiated and the principles applied in succession in patients with hydatid disease of the lungs. The choice of the most rational treatment is based on comprehensive appraisal of the condition of the pathological focus as well as on the character and degree of pathophysiological changes occurring in rupture of the hydatid cyst. In spontaneous ruptures of the cyst postponed operation is advisable, which is undertaken after a complex of non-operative measures aimed at relieving the patient from the critical situation and stabilization of the organism's immune forces is completed. Intraoperative ruptures of the hydatic cysts are prevented by successive application of optimal technical procedures and adequate anesthesia-resuscitation service.
