A course use of the transcerebral effect of HF-electric field was shown to get back to normal disturbed endocrine functions in chronic alcoholic patients causing a moderate rise of ACTH and prolactin levels, the reduction of the basal increased level of cortisol and a rise of the basal decreased level of testosterone. This method is recommended as an integral part of therapeutic and rehabilitation measures in alcoholism.
