HIV infection and women of the military.

Since 1985 when the military first began testing all active duty personnel, there have been concerns about how the HIV policy would affect servicemembers. This article reviews policy development, the rationale for screening, seroprevalence in the military, medical staging, unique problems of testing in the military, retension, and considerations for the future.
