Abstract
Highly active antigen preparations, as measured by precipitation and inhibition of haemaglutination, were obtained from Bacteroides fragilis NCTC 9343 grown in continuous culture. The activity varied slightly only with the glucose concentration of the medium and the dilution rate. pH had a greater influence on antigen production.
