To investigate chemical constituents of the Chinese Hainan mangrove-associated plant, Thespesia populnea.
Compounds were isolated and purified with silica column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and HPLC methods. Their structures were identified by physicochemical analysis, spectroscopic analysis (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS), and comparison with the data of literatures.
Ten compounds were obtained and their structures were identified as Mansonone H (1), Populene A (2), 1,8-Dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methyl-9,10-anthraquinone (3), 1, 4, 5-Trihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methyl-9,10-anthraquinone (4), 1, 8-Dihydroxy-3-carboxy-9, 10-anthraquinone (5), Catacerebroside B (6), beta-Sitosterol (7), beta-Daucosterol (8), Palmitic acid (9), 3-Hydroxy-13 (18) -ene-28-oleanolic acid (10), respectively.
Compounds 3-5, 10 are obtained from Thespesia populnea for the first time.

采用硅胶柱色谱、葡聚糖凝胶LH-20柱色谱和高效液相色谱法对化合物进行分离纯化。通过理化分析、光谱分析(1H-NMR、13C-NMR和MS)以及与文献数据比较对其结构进行鉴定。
得到10个化合物,其结构分别鉴定为曼宋酮H(1)、杨叶肖槿烯A(2)、1,8-二羟基-3-甲氧基-6-甲基-9,10-蒽醌(3)、1,4,5-三羟基-3-甲氧基-6-甲基-9,10-蒽醌(4)、1,8-二羟基-3-羧基-9,10-蒽醌(5)、卡他脑苷脂B(6)、β-谷甾醇(7)、β-胡萝卜苷(8)、棕榈酸(9)、3-羟基-13(18)-烯-28-齐墩果酸(10)。
化合物3 - 5、10首次从杨叶肖槿中获得。
