Abstract

School nurses are diligent guardians of children's health. Health promotion is becoming more and more difficult due to the increase in childhood obesity across the nation. Bold new strategies must be undertaken to reverse this alarming trend. School nurses in New Jersey teamed up with local health departments and the Medical Reserve Corps to implement a creative approach to this problem.
