Abstract

In recent decades, there has been a range from an abundance to a severe shortage in the supply of nurses to the industry. These fluctuations influence the effectiveness of various recruiting sources, making it imperative that nurse administrators and recruiters periodically evaluate their recruiting efforts. The author presents a study that examined the short- and long-term effectiveness of recruiting sources used to hire staff nurses.
