Colon cancer is one of the major malignancies worldwide and it still remains resistant to much of the currently available chemotherapy. Downregulation of HGF/c-Met signaling pathway is an emerging therapy for cancer treatment.
In this study, the inhibitory effects of c-Met phosphorylation were observed with SU11274 on different colon cancer cell lines in vitro.
The results revealed the significant inhibitory effects of SU11274 on cell proliferation and cell survival, in a time and dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the inhibitory effects of SU11274 on different subgroups of colon cancer cells via the HGF/c-Met signaling pathway were implicated in this study.
The results suggested the possible selective therapeutic effects of c-Met inhibitor on colon cancer.
结肠癌是全球主要的恶性肿瘤之一,目前仍有许多化疗药物对其无效。下调 HGF/c-Met 信号通路是一种新兴的癌症治疗方法。
本研究在体外观察了 SU11274 对不同结肠癌细胞系中 c-Met 磷酸化的抑制作用。
结果表明,SU11274 以时间和剂量依赖的方式显著抑制细胞增殖和细胞存活。此外,本研究还表明,SU11274 通过 HGF/c-Met 信号通路对不同亚组的结肠癌细胞具有抑制作用。
这些结果表明 c-Met 抑制剂对结肠癌可能具有选择性的治疗作用。
