The number of hand injuries in overall occupational injuries has remained constant over the last fifteen years. Injuries to the dominant hand and the non-dominant hand are assessed differently. Because of changes in the work environment with increase in mechanization, key-boards, and demands on fine motor skills, the question arises whether this differential evaluation is still proper.
在过去十五年中，手部损伤在整体职业伤害中的数量一直保持不变。优势手和非优势手的损伤评估方式不同。由于工作环境随着机械化、键盘的增加以及对精细运动技能要求的提高而发生变化，这种差异评估是否仍然恰当的问题随之而来。
