Abstract

We examined the ultrastructural localization of beta protein in diffuse plaques of Alzheimer brain by indirect immunoperoxidase technique. Intense immunoreaction products, scattered sporadically in the diffuse plaques, were located on small bundles of several amyloid fibrils and/or amorphous materials between amyloid-related cell processes (ARCP). Deposits of beta protein were also seen on parts of the cell membrane of ARCP, suggesting the importance of ARCP in plaque amyloid deposits.

我们采用间接免疫过氧化物酶技术,研究了β蛋白在阿尔茨海默病脑弥漫性斑块中的超微结构定位。强烈的免疫反应产物散在分布于弥漫性斑块中,位于几根淀粉样纤维的小束和/或淀粉样相关细胞突起(ARCP)之间的无定形物质上。在ARCP细胞膜的部分区域也可见β蛋白沉积,提示ARCP在斑块淀粉样沉积中具有重要作用。
