Adnexal torsion is a serious condition and delay in surgical intervention may result in loss of ovary. Children and adolescents who have suffered from uterine adnexal torsion may be at risk for asynchronous torsion of the contralateral adnexa.
We report the case of asynchronous bilateral ovarian torsion in a 9-year-old girl, resulting in right and subsequently left salpingo-oophorectomy.
The diagnosis of ovarian torsion often is delayed. When ovarian torsion is suspected, laparoscopy should be performed without delay, and conservative management should be strongly considered to prevent surgical castration. Oophoropexy of the ipsilateral and contralateral ovary should be considered to prevent a recurrent torsion.
附件扭转是一种严重情况，手术干预延迟可能导致卵巢丧失。患有子宫附件扭转的儿童和青少年可能有对侧附件异步扭转的风险。

卵巢扭转的诊断常常延迟。当怀疑有卵巢扭转时，应立即进行腹腔镜检查，并应强烈考虑保守治疗以防止手术去势。应考虑对同侧和对侧卵巢进行卵巢固定术以防止复发扭转。
