Abstract
The paper summarizes the known data about contact urticaria, its clinical manifestations and pathogenetic mechanisms; together with examples from the literature and own case reports (not yet reported: contact urticaria provoked by roses). Eczematous dermatitis in contact urticaria patients is regarded as so-called late phase reaction. Further, an updated listing of causative agents is given.
