Hydatid disease is a parasitic infection caused by Echinococcus granulosus (larval form) in humans with lesionsmost frequently encountered in the liver and lungs. It can rarely involve extra-hepatic organs. It is endemicin some regions of Iran. The omental hydatid cyst is a very rare manifestation of the disease. This report presentsthe interesting case of a very large omental hydatid cyst.
包虫病是由细粒棘球绦虫（幼虫形式）引起的一种人类寄生虫感染，病变最常发生于肝脏和肺，很少累及肝外器官。该病在伊朗的一些地区呈地方性流行。大网膜包虫囊肿是该病非常罕见的一种表现形式。本报告介绍了一例非常大的大网膜包虫囊肿的有趣病例。
