Abstract
Three nuclear mutants, affected to various degrees with respect to cytochrome b are described. Detailed genetical study revealed that each mutant strain carried a single gene mutation; in complementation test the three mutations proved to be non-allelic. The measurements of enzymatic activities strongly suggest that the bc1 complex is the target of the mutations.
