Abstract
A patient, known to have sarcoidosis, developed a painful, enlarging right thyroid mass. Thyroid lobectomy was performed revealing sarcoidosis involving the thyroid. A review of the literature shows sporadic reports of involvement of the thyroid with sarcoidosis. There were no previous reports of this entity presenting as painful thyroid enlargement. Thyroid lobectomy was curative.

一名已知患有结节病的患者出现了右侧甲状腺疼痛性肿大。进行了甲状腺叶切除术，结果显示甲状腺存在结节病。文献回顾显示有散发性甲状腺受累于结节病的报道。此前尚无关于该病症表现为疼痛性甲状腺肿大的报道。甲状腺叶切除术治愈了该疾病。
