Abstract
We report a patient with a culture proven low grade gonococcal arthritis of 3 1/2 months' duration instead of the usual presentation as an acute, intense synovitis. Based on our experience gonococcal arthritis should be a consideration in the differential diagnosis of chronic monoarticular arthritis.
