Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To study the relationship between TLR4 and NF-κB p65 protein expressions in tumor tissues after radiotherapy and clinical radiosensitivity of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

METHODS

A total of 93 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma first treated in our hospital by radiotherapy and surgeries from November 2010 to December 2013 were selected. They were then divided into a severe reaction group, a moderate reaction group and a mild reaction group according to the postoperative pathological examination results of tumor tissues. The expressions of TLR4 and NF-κB p65 in the tumor samples were detected by Western blotting.

RESULTS

Compared with the severe reaction group, the expression levels of TLR4 and NF-κB p65 in the moderate reaction group significantly increased (P<0.05). Similarly, the expression levels of the mild reaction group were significantly higher than those of the moderate reaction group (P<0.05).

CONCLUSION

Reducing the expression levels of TLR4 and NF-κB p65 proteins may increase the radiosensitivity of patients with esophageal cancer.

摘要

目的

研究 TLR4 和 NF-κB p65 蛋白在食管癌患者放射治疗后肿瘤组织中的表达与临床放射敏感性的关系。

方法

选取 2010 年 11 月至 2013 年 12 月我院首次采用放疗联合手术治疗的 93 例食管癌患者,根据术后肿瘤组织病理检查结果将其分为重度反应组、中度反应组和轻度反应组,采用 Western blot 法检测肿瘤标本中 TLR4 和 NF-κB p65 的表达。

结果

与重度反应组相比,中度反应组 TLR4 和 NF-κB p65 的表达水平显著升高(P<0.05);轻度反应组的表达水平也明显高于中度反应组(P<0.05)。

结论

降低 TLR4 和 NF-κB p65 蛋白的表达水平可能会提高食管癌患者的放射敏感性。
