The efficacy of corticosteroids being not manifest and their side effects grave, and corticosteroid dependence developing after their administration, the author emphasizes the necessity of a strictly differentiated approach to the prescription of these drugs to patients with severe and, more so, with common forms of psoriasis. Examples of corticosteroid inefficacy in children with psoriatic erythroderma and arthropathy are given.
皮质类固醇的疗效不明显，副作用严重，且用药后会产生皮质类固醇依赖，因此作者强调，对于重度及更常见形式银屑病患者，在开具这些药物处方时必须采取严格的区别对待方法。文中给出了皮质类固醇对银屑病红皮病和关节病患儿无效的例子。
