[The unsuitability of using corticosteroid preparations in the treatment of psoriasis in children].

The efficacy of corticosteroids being not manifest and their side effects grave, and corticosteroid dependence developing after their administration, the author emphasizes the necessity of a strictly differentiated approach to the prescription of these drugs to patients with severe and, more so, with common forms of psoriasis. Examples of corticosteroid inefficacy in children with psoriatic erythroderma and arthropathy are given.
