FROM THIS autumn, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is changing its registration process for nurses and midwives from outside the European Union seeking to register in the UK. This marks a radical departure from the current compulsory overseas nurses programme (ONP), a combination of study and supervised practice.
