Twenty-nine patients were treated by excision and post-operative irradiation following recurrence of pleomorphic adenoma (mixed tumor) of the parotid. Eighteen of 20 (90%) patients with a first recurrence were controlled comparing favorably with series employing surgery only. Radiation therapy has a role to play as a surgical adjuvant in the management of these tumors, in particular when surgical difficulties are encountered and for second or subsequent recurrences.
29例腮腺多形性腺瘤（混合瘤）复发患者接受了切除及术后放疗。20例首次复发患者中有18例（90%）病情得到控制，与仅采用手术治疗的系列研究相比效果良好。放射治疗作为手术辅助手段在这些肿瘤的治疗中发挥着作用，尤其是在遇到手术困难时以及第二次或后续复发时。
