Identification of prostate and other cancers by two-dimensional protein electrophoresis.

Some cancers are so undifferentiated as to preclude their identification, and this hinders selection of an appropriate therapy. The systematic analysis and cataloguing of electrophoresed proteins from identified cancers and their comparison with the protein patterns from histologically indeterminate cancers should provide a general means of identifying the latter.
