[Influence of smoking on the effectiveness of peptic ulcer healing].

The article presents the results of the research which was focused on the influence of smoking on the healing of peptic ulcer of different locations. It has been proved that the smoker's factor of erosive and ulcerous disorders healing is 10% lower. The level of marker of mucoid secretion in non-dissolvable mucus in gastric content in H. pylori-positive peptic ulcer smokers is lower comparing to H. pylori-negative patients. It has been concluded that smoking is an additional factor which can affect the course of peptic ulcer disease.
