[Surgical tactics in acute thrombophlebitis of the superficial veins of the lower extremities].

A 20-years experience of the clinic with substantiation of the surgeon's tactics for acute thrombophlebitis of superficial veins of lower extremities is presented. A conclusion is made that radical operations for acute thrombophlebitis of superficial veins of lower extremities without special preoperative preparation prevent further spread of the thrombotic process, development of thromboembolism of the pulmonary artery, make the duration of treatment at the hospital 2 times shorter and contributes to quicker recovery of working ability.
