T-kininogen levels of plasma and liver were measured in rats during development by RIA. We found that higher levels of T-kininogen in plasma and liver of neonates and of the mother rats at around term. The plasma level of mature male rats was as low as 1/5 to 1/2 of that of mature female rats. T-kininogen levels in male and female rats increased after treatment with estradiol, indicating that sex hormones may regulate the physiological level of T-kininogen in rats.
