By means of transmissive electron microscopy and morphometry methods volumetric parts and number of cells in various components of the myocardial stroma have been studied in male Wistar rats at the age up to 45 days. Two age periods have been determined--before and after 10 days. Synchronization of processes in development of the stromal elements is observed.
