[Removal of a foreign metallic body with a magnet].

Foreign bodies in the human body are frequent and can be very hard to identify. Over the years it has been shown that removal could be done by magnetic force if the foreign body is magnetic. We present two stories where a foreign body was removed from a leg and abdomen respectively, with magnetic force. Removal of metallic foreign bodies with magnetic force is a fast, inexpensive and almost atraumatic procedure, which can minimize the use of anaesthetics and probably the use of X-ray.
