Sixty-four fine-needle aspiration biopsies were conducted in 24 patients with chronic renal insufficiency after kidney transplantation. Many nephrocytes in the stage of necrosis and dystrophy were found in the aspired material when the transplanted kidney did not function due to tubular necrosis. The number of lymphocytes and their blastic forms increased in the aspired material in prevalence of the rejection reaction.
