Abstract
Radionuclide bone scans provide a sensitive, no-risk diagnostic technique for the detection and evaluation of a wide variety of diseases of the spine. Scans and radiographs provide complementary diagnostic information, and should both be considered in the medical imaging portion of the diagnostic plan.
