Abstract

The author testifies on the medical situation in 1944 in the Val Blenio, a mountain valley accessible only by narrow and uncertain roads. Practice was difficult but their development of technical possibilities has improved the health state of the population. As an ardent politician the author reviews a series of adventures illustrating frustrations and rewards for a mountain-doctor.
