We report the case of a 45-year-old woman, with unremarkable past medical history, who presented with acute visual loss in her left eye due to bilateral posterior uveitis. After the screening, she was diagnosed with acute syphilitic placoid chorioretinitis and was treated with intravenous penicillin.
Clinical manifestations of ocular syphilis are extremely heterogeneous and may mimic several aetiologies. Anti-treponema treatment usually induces a quick and positive response in affected patients. Prompt and proper diagnosis of these patients is crucial, although anatomical and functional damage may persist.
我们报告了一名45岁女性的病例，其既往病史无异常，因双侧后葡萄膜炎导致左眼急性视力丧失。筛查后，她被诊断为急性梅毒性扁平苔藓样脉络膜视网膜炎，并接受了静脉注射青霉素治疗。
