Information systems for cancer clinical trials and data base systems consisting of the latest information on cancer treatments are introduced as examples of information systems which support clinicians engaged in cancer treatment and research. These systems have not been developed in Japan and interdisciplinary collaborative work should be undertaken to establish such information systems for the more effective use of relevant information.
