Abstract
A patient with polymyositis was treated initially with corticosteroids. Subsequently, azathioprine was added but was associated with transient hepatotoxicity on two separate occasions, 6 months apart. Both episodes occurred 3 weeks after starting the latter drug. This is the first case of azathioprine toxicity documented by both histopathology and drug challenge.

一名多发性肌炎患者最初接受了皮质类固醇治疗。随后加用硫唑嘌呤，但在两次分别相隔6个月的情况下出现了短暂性肝毒性。两次发作均发生在开始使用后一种药物3周后。这是第一例通过组织病理学和药物激发试验记录的硫唑嘌呤毒性病例。
