Abstract

Renovascular hypertension is a common cause of pediatric hypertension. In the fraction of cases that are unrelated to syndromes such as neurofibromatosis, patients with a solitary stenosis on a branch of the renal artery are common and can be diagnostically challenging. Imaging techniques that perform well in the diagnosis of main renal artery stenosis may fall short when it comes to branch artery stenosis. We report 2 cases that illustrate these difficulties and show that a branch artery stenosis may be overlooked even by the gold standard method, renal angiography.

摘要

肾血管性高血压是儿童高血压的常见病因。在与神经纤维瘤病等综合征无关的部分病例中,肾动脉分支存在孤立性狭窄的患者较为常见,且诊断具有挑战性。在诊断主肾动脉狭窄方面表现良好的成像技术,在诊断分支动脉狭窄时可能效果不佳。我们报告2例病例,以说明这些困难,并表明即使采用金标准方法——肾血管造影,分支动脉狭窄也可能被忽视。
