Flexible Medullary Nailing, described by Métaizeau and Prevot of Nancy Children's Hospital is an excellent method in the treatment of the femoral shaft in children. Some modifications are described in 14 cases. The biomechanical concept is preserved; two flexible rods are introduced under the trochanter major, in a metaphyseal area, in lateral decubitus. The review of the cases showed that with growth, there was good remodeling, without sepsis and delayed union.
