Abstract

The immunocytochemical localization of malic enzyme-like activity in the cerebellar cortex of the rat at light and electron microscope levels using the PAP method was investigated. The antiserum against the malic enzyme was obtained from rabbit after having injected the chicken liver malic enzyme. The microscope observations have demonstrated the presence of a positive immunocytochemical reaction against malic enzyme in the cytosol of Bergmann glial cells and in the astrocytes of granular layer and also in several dendrites, but not in all, in the postsynaptic site. A possible role of cytosolic malic isoenzyme (cME) in the several synapses is suggested.

采用PAP法,在光镜和电镜水平上研究了大鼠小脑皮质中苹果酸酶样活性的免疫细胞化学定位。用鸡肝苹果酸酶注射兔后获得抗苹果酸酶抗血清。显微镜观察表明,在伯格曼神经胶质细胞的胞质溶胶、颗粒层的星形胶质细胞以及一些但并非所有突触后部位的树突中,存在针对苹果酸酶的阳性免疫细胞化学反应。提示胞质苹果酸同工酶(cME)在多个突触中可能发挥作用。
