[Tinnitus: an etiologic, diagnostic and therapeutic problem].

Tinnitus as an etiological, diagnostic and therapeutic problem in everyday otorhinolaryngological practice has been described in this paper and the diseases and conditions leading to tinnitus discussed. A diagnostic procedure, by means of which attempts have been made to establish the cause of the noise has been presented. Contemporary methods of treating tinnitus have been reviewed on the basis of ample descriptions from the literature.
