Abstract

Floating arm injury represents a common yet complicated injury of the childhood severely associated with limb deformation and even morbidity, if not precisely addressed and credibly operated. Here, we report a rare floating upper limb case of a 9-year-old boy with multiple injuries of ipsilateral proximal humeral, supracondylar and distal radial limb. This is the first report to document such a combined floating elbow and floating arm injury in the same limb. In this report, we discuss the surgical procedures used and recovery of the patient monitored to ascertain the effectiveness of the method in limb reorganisation.

摘要

浮动臂损伤是儿童常见但复杂的损伤，如果处理不当或手术不可靠，会严重导致肢体畸形甚至致残。在此，我们报告一例罕见的9岁男孩浮动上肢病例，其同侧肱骨近端、肱骨髁上和桡骨远端肢体多处受伤。这是第一份记录同一肢体合并浮动肘和浮动臂损伤的报告。在本报告中，我们讨论了所采用的手术方法以及对患者恢复情况的监测，以确定该方法在肢体重建中的有效性。
