The data are presented on the conditions and the character of work when manufacturing samarium- and cobalt-based permanent magnets. Major unfavourable factors of samarium/cobalt-containing dusts are stressed, the chemical and disperse dust composition being described. Highlighted is the necessity of developing a set of preventive measures.
