Abstract

UNLABELLED

We describe a technique that uses a femtosecond laser (femtosecond laser pseudophakic capsulotomy) to treat capsule contraction syndrome (capsule phimosis) that may occur after cataract surgery and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Enlarging the capsulotomy with a femtosecond laser may offer advantages over the existing treatment methods, neodymium:YAG laser capsulotomy and manual extension of the capsulorhexis.
