Nursing process in community psychiatric nursing.

A review of the literature suggests there is no consensus over the role of the Community Psychiatric Nurse. This paper describes a case in which a CPN, using a comparatively simple nursing process, successfully managed the psychotherapy of a disturbed young woman in the community. Other members of the multidisciplinary team were involved but no medication was prescribed.
