Abstract

The genus Terasakiispira hosts only Terasakiispira papahanaumokuakeensis PH27A, cultivated from an anchialine pond on Pearl and Hermes Atoll, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. The strain's genome sequence may provide insights into the evolution of free-living Oceanospirillaceae.
