Six patients with acute cholecystitis which had developed after various mechanical injuries were under observation. Ultrasonic examination, cholescintigraphy, and laparoscopy were conducted in establishing the diagnosis. Two patients were subjected to emergency operation. Laparoscopic drainage of the gallbladder was undertaken in 4 patients to relieve acute cholecystitis. Operation was carried out after acute inflammation had abated and treatment of the trauma was concluded. There were no fatal outcomes.
