[Comparison of bronchial reactivity to prostaglandin F2 alpha and histamine].

Bronchial reactivity to prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2 alpha) and histamine have been examined in 15 asthmatics and 8 healthy youngsters. The degree of reactivity was estimated on the basis of values of PC20 PGF2 alpha and histamine [provocative concentration of PGF2 alpha and histamine in mg/l which lead to the fall in the expiration volume in the first second (FEV1) for 20% of the basal value]. In the group of asthmatics statistically significant correlation was found between PC20 PGF2 alpha and histamine values (r = 0.538, p less than 0.05).
