The facile synthesis of fused multifunctionalized dibenzoselenophenes by a one-pot-three-step cascade hexadehydro-Diels-Alder reaction of tetraynes is reported. The overall transformation involves the formation of four new C-C bonds and one new C-Se bond and C-H activation via both intramolecular cyclization and intermolecular free radical reactions.
