This study aims to study the estrus induction, ovulation, and conception rate of delayed puberty in buffaloes heifers by feeding a herbal plants (bael/bili/bhel leaf) and (Curry leaf).
Totally, 24 buffalo heifers with delayed puberty were selected for the present study and divided randomly in four equal groups (n=6). Before experiment, all animals were dewormed with albendazole at 10 mg/kg body weight to prevent them from the stress of parasitism. In the present experiment, four group taken and Group I (n=6) treated with , Group II (n=6) treated with , Group III (n=6) treated with mixture of and and fed for 9 days. Group IV (n=6) considered as control and fed with concentrate only. The blood samples were collected from all the animals on day 0 (before treatment), 4, 9 (during treatment), on the day of estrus and day 8 after the onset of estrus. The 10 ml blood was collected from the jugular vein of all the experimental animals for estimation of serum calcium, inorganic phosphorus, and progesterone (P). The estrus response, ovulation, conception rate along with serum calcium, inorganic phosphorus, and progesterone level were determined by the standard protocol.
From Group III 4 heifers, from Group II 3 heifers, and from Group I and IV (Control) 2 heifers each, exhibited the estrus. The estrus response was recorded as 33.33%, 50.00%, 75.00%, and 33.33% in Group I, Group II, Group III, and Group IV, respectively. In treatment Group III, serum calcium found significantly more (p<0.05) on day 8 post-estrus as compared to other groups at a similar interval. Inorganic phosphorus and progesterone show no significant difference between groups. The ovulation and conception rates are comparatively better in Group III (75%) buffalo heifers than other groups.
Herbal supplementation of and in combination, as well as M. koenigii alone, were found effective in fertility improvement in delayed pubertal buffalo heifers by increasing ovulation and conception rate.
本研究旨在通过给水牛小母牛投喂草药植物(印度枳椇叶/比里叶/贝叶)和(咖喱叶)来研究其对青春期延迟的诱导发情、排卵及受孕率的影响。
本研究共选取24头青春期延迟的水牛小母牛,随机分为四组(每组n = 6)。实验前,所有动物均按10 mg/kg体重口服阿苯达唑进行驱虫,以避免寄生虫应激。在本实验中,设置四组,第一组(n = 6)用[具体草药1]处理,第二组(n = 6)用[具体草药2]处理,第三组(n = 6)用[具体草药1]和[具体草药2]的混合物处理,持续投喂9天。第四组(n = 6)作为对照组,仅投喂精饲料。在第0天(处理前)、第4天、第9天(处理期间)、发情当天以及发情开始后第8天,从所有动物采集血样。从所有实验动物的颈静脉采集10 ml血液,用于测定血清钙、无机磷和孕酮(P)。发情反应、排卵、受孕率以及血清钙、无机磷和孕酮水平均按照标准方案进行测定。
第三组有4头小母牛、第二组有3头小母牛、第一组和第四组(对照组)各有2头小母牛表现出发情。第一组、第二组、第三组和第四组的发情反应分别记录为33.33%、50.00%、75.00%和33.33%。在处理组第三组中,发情后第8天的血清钙水平与其他组在相同时间间隔相比显著更高(p<0.05)。无机磷和孕酮在各组之间无显著差异。第三组(75%)水牛小母牛的排卵和受孕率相对高于其他组。
发现联合补充[具体草药1]和[具体草药2]以及单独补充柯尼格木对提高青春期延迟的水牛小母牛的繁殖力有效,可提高排卵和受孕率。
