[Musculoskeletal diseases. A review of musculoskeletal diseases and environment].

The article discusses the remarkably high prevalence of occupationally induced muscle pain and musculoskeletal diseases. The causes of this group of pain/disorders are complex. The increasing economic consequences, and the problems, call for research on practical prophylaxis. It is emphasized that research on environment and health should include sociopsychological conditions at work.
