Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To explore the effect of depression on the sleep quality, and the circadian rhythm of ambulatory blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension.

METHODS

A total of 73 older patients with hypertension were screened for depression and divided into two groups. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the circadian rhythm of ambulatory blood pressure were compared between the non-depressed (control) and depressed (case) group.

RESULTS

In the case group, 24h ambulatory SBP and DBP, and nocturnal SBP and DBP were higher than in the control group, and the circadian rhythm of non-dipper was higher (67.22% vs 40.13%,P<0.01). There was a positive correlation between PSQI and depression (r=0.432, P<0.01).

CONCLUSION

There was a significant correlation between sleep quality and depression in older patients with hypertension. Depression increases the circadian rhythm of non-dipper in older patients with hypertension.

目的

探讨抑郁症对老年原发性高血压患者睡眠质量及动态血压昼夜节律的影响。

方法

共筛选出73例老年高血压患者进行抑郁筛查,并分为两组。比较非抑郁(对照组)和抑郁(病例组)组间的匹兹堡睡眠质量指数(PSQI)及动态血压昼夜节律。

结果

病例组24小时动态收缩压和舒张压、夜间收缩压和舒张压均高于对照组,非勺型昼夜节律更高(67.22%对40.13%,P<0.01)。PSQI与抑郁之间存在正相关(r=0.432,P<0.01)。

结论

老年高血压患者的睡眠质量与抑郁之间存在显著相关性。抑郁症会增加老年高血压患者非勺型的昼夜节律。
